The house is beautiful and so close to town you can walk to stores and restaurants. Also close to ski mountains (Butternut and Catamount). The kitchen and bathrooms were clean and had everything one would need. We spent Christmas there as we have family in the area. It’s not the easiest place to find in the dark the first time. The only comment is it would be nice to have televisions in the bedrooms.

The house is great. Directions were spot on and house was easy to find. They are not joking when they advise only 4 wheel or AWD. If your vehicle doesn’t have them don’t choose this house for the winter. We didn’t run into any issues but the hill/dirt road is really steep.
Accommodations had everything we needed and were just as described. Beds were comfortable, plenty of linens and house was clean upon arrival. Kitchen is fully stocked for cooking.
The house is super close to town and easy to get to. One thing to note is you either need to walk on a tight road with some blind corners or cross the train tracks into a parking lot. So if you have young kids keep that in mind!
Someone mentioned the train being loud…we heard the train once and it wasn’t bad. It would not have kept us up at night.
Lucas was extremely responsive with any of our questions. We had a great stay and would return again!

Wonderful stay! We celebrated a friend's birthday as a group of 7, with a toddler + a dog. Everything was exactly as depicted. The location was fantastic; easy walk to town. Space was perfect, plenty of room, very comfortable, and truly everything we could have wanted in the kitchen for cooking at home. Lucas was a very responsive host and helpful at every term. Would absolutely stay again!

We are a regular Airbnb travelers and would rate Luca’s place as one of the nicest and best located of all the places we have stayed. The place was very clean, modern, had everything we needed to feel at home, and was an easy walk to town and a beautiful lake. Very close to all the shops, restaurants and cafes. We loved that it was pet friendly since we always travel with our dog. Communication was great too. We would highly recommend this place.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful Airbnb, and I can't say enough good things about it. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the incredible location, the cleanliness, and the well-appointed kitchen that made my stay truly exceptional. It's a great location in Great Barrington, which allowed me to explore all the local attractions and surrounding towns with incredible ease. The hosts were incredibly accommodating and responsive, making my check-in and check-out process a breeze. The overall ambiance of the Airbnb was inviting and cozy (especially with the fireplace). I can't wait to return for another visit! I would recommend arriving at the house before dark as I imagine it could be a bit tricky to find at night. The hosts provided great directions so just be sure to follow those - we had no issues ourselves.

The location was great, especially for walking. The manager was friendly and responsive. The house however had some issues that impacted our stay. The automatic lock malfunctioned and locked us out one night after we returned from dinner. After a couple hours, a maintenance guy was able to let us in.
The kitchen lacked basic ingredients and equipment, and the refrigerator could not be opened much, without hitting the kitchen island. The grill was unable to cook our small red peppers within 30 minutes. We tried changing the propane canister, but it didn’t help. If you want to cook, this probably isn’t the place for you. Also, the house rules require the curtains to be drawn during the day, to help the struggling AC keep the space cool. We found this unpleasant, and did not enjoy spending time in the house during the day.

We were a group of 7 girls who visited Great Barrington for a Birthday Celebration! We couldn’t have picked a better house!! It was immaculately clean and comfortable!!! Room fotos were true to life and we were extremely happy how centrally located this house is!! It is on small hill , which is important to know for older folks.. We enjoyed all the little touches that made us feel welcome at Lucas’s place! We loved being able to walk to town, and what a cute town it is!!! Lucas was highly responsive & great to work with! The house was clean, the beds and furniture were comfortable, and the kitchen had all of the cookware, dishes, and tools we needed. While the house is a little off the beaten path, the directions were very easy to follow. We had an issue with the main bathroom shower floor being very slippery and having nothing to hold into, leading to a fall. Lucas responded promptly with promises to address the situation for future renters.

Upon check in the house had not been cleaned, I reached out to lucas, he apologized and sent the cleaners as soon as possible. Appreciate his prompt response. Pros: The location can not be beat, just a quick walk down a steep hill and across railroad tracks and you're in town. We did the trip several times a day. I do recommend an SUV a few of our friends with lower cars had a bit of a difficult time going up the hill. The space was clean and exactly as pictured. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need to cook and serve for a large crowd as well as the bathroom with toiletries and plenty of TP.
Cons: The contract they have you sign ahead of time, felt unnecessary and a bit overboard. You have zero control over the temperature of the house, have to message them to change it. Extra blankets for the pull out couch/trundle bed were missing from the closets. Although very responsive, when asked if we could have early check-in they wanted to charge us over $300.

Could not have asked for a better place! We were a group of 12 women and we had plenty of room. The location is unbelievable— all the restaurants are less than a 5 minute walk down the hill and yet the house feels perfectly secluded. It was a bit tricky to find but Lucas provided great instructions. Highly, highly recommend.

Lucas and Drew provided good instructions on how to find the house. GPS works, but it was reassuring to have their instructions about getting up the road to the house. Thankfully there was no snow on the ground for our February trip. The hill is smallish, but steep and I'd be worried if it had been icy.
House was very tidy when we arrived. We were a group of 9 people. House had what we needed to cook/eat. The dining area fit us all, but just (I'd say the max for the table area is 10). The couch also fit all of us comfortably.

The house was nice and Lucas was very helpful and always friendly and responsive. We had 3 families over MLK weekend/skiing at Catamount which is about 15min away. Fully stocked kitchen to cook in; all linens and basic toiletries and supplies were there; very clean house was helpful w/ 6 adults and 7 kids from ages 3-8. We were comfortable for 3 days there for sure. I would definitely recommend an all-wheel drive vehicle—we faired well with the weather, but if there was a lot of snow it may be a problem if you didn’t have all wheel drive. Just things to think about, but super close and easily walkable to all GB town has to offer. One thing to note there are train tracks at the base of the hill, but in 3 days we didn’t have one train come by so that shouldn’t deter you from renting the house. Overall great spot for several families to rent together for a fun, long weekend.

Just a fabulous place in a quite amazing location. This house feels like it's in the countryside but it is a two minute walk into the center of Great Barrington. It is light and airy and has a wonderful deck that looks out at the green hills of the Berkshires (we were there in August -- it'd be even more spectacular in the fall). We had a great stay at this beautiful house. We came to ski at Butternut for the weekend and it was a great spot to be close to the mountain (5 min away) and walkable to town. The house was very clean and comfortable, and well stocked with towels, toilet paper and toiletries. Check in was very easy, with a code for the door. I would expect the road and driveway for the house to be a bit treacherous if there was a snowstorm, so if visiting in winter, keep that in mind if you don’t have snow tires or an appropriate vehicle. There’s a small dirt road along the train tracks and then it’s a very steep road to the house. We would recommend this house and would book again if we get the opportunity!

We had a wonderful experience in this lovely retreat home. Our two families with 4 adults, 4 kids and 2 dogs had a great time. The large couch was able to accommodate us all around the fireplace. We played competitive boards games at the long table and cooked up several delicious meals. Everyone said their bed was comfy. It's also a short 3-4 min walk into town where there are fun shops and restaurants. It was a very memorable thanksgiving weekend getaway!

Our stay was one of the highlights of this year. The six of us-- my husband and me, my parents, and my sister's family (toddler included)--had an amazing stay. Everything was sparkling clean, bedding was comfortable, bathroom was well-kept and clean, and the kitchen well-stocked with all types of utensils and cookware/basic cooking items. The outside deck was a plus. The master bedroom with bathroom is on the first floor so it was great for my elderly parents. The house is a 5 min walk from the downtown area. We loved being able to walk into town for ice-cream and coffee (there are at least 4 cafes in town, all are excellent). The kids loved seeing the train pass by periodically. House was very clean and well-stocked. The house does get a lot of sun so a tip is to keep the curtains drawn during the morning.

Lucas’s place was absolutely perfect for our family. We wanted a getaway that looked nothing like our home, which lets all face it, we’ve all been inside of for way too long these days. The “log cabin” as our boys came to call this heaven, was perfect for our week of much needed family time. Super sparkly clean upon arriving, so easy to access, everything you need is included - just pack your clothes. I definitely overpacked! It’s winter, and with the snow our boys were able to sled in the backyard, we walked to town for even ice cream on a 30 degree day it’s so close, skied at Butternut which is only a 5 min drive done the road, and walked to the pond on our last day. It’s a perfect location, and Lucas was a fab host that is super responsive. We’ll be staying again and also checking out his other properties!

Lucas's place was a perfect place for our family of four- and our pooch- for a 6 day winter trip. Lucas was a great host; he stayed in close touch with us and got back to us quickly with answers to our questions. The house is warm and cozy and we spent lots of time hanging out by the fire place. In one direction, the house is a quick walk into town, and in the other direction, beautiful homes and walking trails in the woods. The house was very clean, easy to check in to, and we appreciated that it was stocked with towels, paper towels, toilet paper, soap, etc. We highly recommend Lucas's place if you are wanting to be near town when you come to Great Barrington!

First and foremost, Lucas IS a super host. Down to every detail and no question was too trite. The house was immaculate, clean, and cozy. The beds were unusually comfortable which is so rare in rentals; the wifi was incredibly fast which was important as we were working as well; fully stocked kitchen and high quality amenities; spacious, well laid out with a comfy living room. And I don’t think many appreciate from the description how close it is to Main Street to grab your coffee or takeout yet quiet for a peaceful getaway. We hope to return soon!

I went away for a long weekend with my sisters, daughter, and dog and we could not have chosen a better house to stay in! The house itself was gorgeous. Plenty of room for everyone to have their own space but it also had a homey feel to it. It was incredibly clean and had everything we needed....even extra toiletries! The location was perfect. When you are at the house, the scenery is all beautiful yards, trees, and mountains. If you walk about two minutes down the hill you are in the middle of the shops, restaurants, etc. Lucas also checked in with me during the stay to make sure we had everything we needed. My only complaint is that the weekend went by too quickly! I absolutely plan on booking this house again and am so happy we had the opportunity to stay there. We had just as much fun at the house as we did exploring! It was also a short drive to do sight seeing (we checked out a local lake that had a hiking trail and hiked Monument Mountain).

My boyfriend and I spent a week here with our two small pups and we ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!
- Place itself was so charming, clean and had everything we needed. Looked even better than the pictures!
- Our dogs enjoyed the huge lawn space!
- The neighborhood is pretty and quiet. Just a 5 min walk to the cute streets, stores and cafes.
- The hosts were very responsive throughout the booking process and even when we checked in/checked out.
- They had thought of everything, including a bowl for the dogs. Nice touch!
- Had never been to the Berkshires before so this whole experience just made the trip even more memorable.

Awesome, clean, spacious house that is just steps from town but still has some privacy with a big yard of its own. Close to everything in town, a small lake just a mile away, and short drive to other attractions in the area like hiking, recreation areas, breweries, etc. Lucas is responsive and thoughtful.

If I could give this place more stars, I would! The home is so spacious and airy and gets amazing light all day long. The decor is stylish and modern with extremely comfortable memory foam mattress and a large leather couch that fit our entire group as did the dining table. The best part is feeling like you are in the middle of nowhere when at the house but being able to walk two minutes into town to get amazing sandwiches and coffee as well as dinner and drinks. They recommended Fuel for coffee, Rubi’s for sandwiches, and Moon Cloud for drinks! All were incredible. We walked to the lake up the hill and did a nice hike nearby. The town is so quaint with so much to do. I can’t wait to go back! The group and dogs loved the home. Lucas thought of everything and was a very gracious host with a beautiful home!

The house and property were beautiful. Our group consisting of 3 couples were very comfortable. The location to town and Lake Mansfield was excellent. We enjoyed a day of exploring the shops and restaurants in town and walking our dogs to the lake. One suggestion would be to either relocate the refrigerator or replace with a French door refrigerator as the current door is somewhat blocked by the counter. Overall we had an amazing stay and would definitely rent again.

Lucas' place was very convenient for our summer stay in the Berkshires. The home was very clean and user friendly, super comfortable for our family of four. We frequently walked to town often for coffee, restaurants, shopping, and GB's Saturday morning farmer's market. Great Barrington is a great home base to explore the area, and an easy drive to all the major cultural destinations in the area. Thanks Lucas!

Unbeatable location. Clean. Has the majority of what you would need. Comfortably sleeps 6, maybe 8, but would not want to have more. It feels a little smaller than the photos. As mentioned in the listing, you do need to be mindful of the driving access; it’s a gravel, uneven path.
We were disappointed with one item
- both the issue and how it was / wasn’t dealt with. The pictures and description (at time of writing) indicate outdoor space (a deck) with ‘choice of seating’; 6 chairs. There is only actually 2 chairs, which makes it difficult for a group to use. Outdoor space was a main reason for our booking, and it wasn’t usable in the manner advertised. We contacted Lucas who stated he would look into it. We had a response around 5/6 hours later, sharing it was just the two chairs to use. So, would say description and photos were inaccurate. The responses were a little corporate; there wasn’t an effort to remediate, nor apology.
We enjoyed our stay, just a little disappointed.
