This house is a gem! Well laid out for a large group with neverending rooms to explore and multiple sitting areas–game room, chess room, parlor, grand living room. The kitchen is equipped with all the things you need and more and has nice light and lots of room for cooking big meals. The huge dinner table was wonderful for having everyone at meals together. The house has just about every game you could wish for and a scrabble game on a turntable–so fun. The pool right next to the cow pasture was picturesque and lovely and the gardens were goregous. We had a relaxing lovely time with our extended family and all had plenty of space.
The rooms were so personal and pretty, beautiful art and family photos, the house feels very personal and not like a cookie cutter airbnb.

I would book again without hesitation. The home was as beautiful as portrayed in the photos. We were a group of 19, and we had many comfortable spaces throughout for us to gather for wellness experiences, including meditation, yoga, stretch massages, karaoke, cooking together and so much more. Watching the cows (working cattle farm on grounds) move about the pastures was calming for us all. We had a chef for the weekend that created masterpieces in the amazingly oversized kitchen and prep spaces. The bedroom decor was lovely, though we felt the twin beds were extremely firm and not comfortable for some to sleep well, but I suggested to host -adding a memory foam mattress topper can remedy that issue. Overall, my friends and family had a wonderful time living in this beautiful space short-term and would love to visit again in the near future…actually we are already planning to visit again in 2026!
Oh!.. if visiting in winter months, please explore the neighbors horse drawn sleigh ride!

We were group of 20 people stayed at this house for 3 nights. It's a beautiful and spacious house with a great grand room to accommodate all of us to have a fun time. Perfect location with heated pool. Lucas was easy to communicate and responsive. Overall we had a great stay.
The Hewitt Hill Farm is a wonderful property and location
The Hewitt Hill Farm is a wonderful property and location. Only 8 miles/15 minutes to Woodstock and easy to find. This is wonderful for large gatherings - especially extended families. The kids enjoyed biking all over the driveway and road, swimming in the pool,, and hanging out in all of the special places scattered throughout the house. The kitchen is great for meals and easy for several people to join in to the prep work, Thank you for opening up your home for us.

Beautiful house, perfect for multiple families sharing as we were. Lots of activities for kids and adults, amazing huge kitchen and three separate living rooms. Lovely setting where we could play soccer on the lawn. Carlene the caretaker was very responsive and super nice and helpful. Area is lovely, convenient to Woodstock.

What a gorgeous property! From the minute we arrived, after passing the fields of cows and horses, we knew it would be perfect for our family group traveling in from all over the country. A beautiful exterior and lush gardens, an extremely well-equipped and spacious kitchen, multiple group gathering areas on the main level, and a really nice layout for the bedrooms/baths made our trip so enjoyable. And we loved waking to the sounds of nature....truly delightful! The photos accurately reflect the property, everything was clean and ready for our arrival, and the host and property caretaker were extremely responsive with communication. A true gem of a property, and we hope to return for a future visit!

We recently rented this beautiful farmhouse in Vermont for a large family gathering to celebrate a graduation, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect experience. The home itself is spacious, warm, and full of charm—plenty of room for our extended family to relax, reconnect, and celebrate together. From the peaceful surroundings to the thoughtful touches throughout the house, everything felt welcoming and well cared for.
What really made the stay exceptional was the hospitality. From the initial booking process to check-out, everyone we interacted with was incredibly kind and accommodating. The contact person for the property was responsive and helpful, and the caretaker made sure everything ran smoothly during our stay. Whether you're planning a family reunion, a celebration, or just a peaceful retreat in Vermont, this farmhouse is a fantastic choice. We left with wonderful memories and would absolutely love to return in the future.

Beautiful decor, spacious living areas, lovely kitchen, dining and bedrooms, scenic outdoors. Would love to give 5-star rating!
But after arrival we found foul smell from compost machine running without proper filter, partially consumed produce on counter, kitchen trash cans with old food, and uncleaned master bathroom. Carlene kindly came to clean but later we found dirty dishes & pans, hair and food debris in freezer, old coffee grounds in coffee maker etc. We could not leave for the deep cleaning it needed, as 10 of us had traveled far and wanted to cook for an evening in. We did a lot of cleaning.
After, Lucas's rental mgmt company did not come to a resolution for us. Airbnb got no response by their deadline so they resolved it with us directly.
I wish our review was similar to the positive ones, but I notice no reviews since Oct 2024. I'm hoping this feedback is taken as it is intended: to get a potentially 5-star property back to that level. A deep cleaning is all it needs.

What a perfect VT place! Charming yet huge! We were in VT to attend a reunion at Dartmouth and invited 5 other couples. There was plenty of space for all of us including parking. We spent a lot of time sitting and talking in the Great room. Had one meal at the table big enough for all. Everyone had a room and a bathroom. It was clean and nicely decorated. Distance to the school was about 25 minutes but it was worth the trip. I would definitely want to stay again. Thank you Lucas!

My family was very lucky to find this gem in N. Pomfret for our reunion this summer. We filled almost every bed and everyone slept so comfortably, including my two young kids. The hosts and caretaker were responsive, helpful, and very friendly. The house was comfortable, well-stocked, and incredibly clean and we all fell in love with the property. Thank you for opening your home to us and allowing us to make so many new memories there! We hope to return for a future reunion!

What a beautiful home in a lovely, private setting! Our family had a great stay. The house speaks for itself and the option to spread out and find quiet space even with young children was much appreciated. The grounds were so well maintained and all the flowers in bloom were gorgeous. Loved the pool and we used the tennis court and basketball hoop regularly. The local caretaker, Carlene, was great about notifying us when the house was ready on check-in day and she was very responsive. She was kind enough to promptly ship a few items left behind after our departure.
Only feedback is that there could have been more information at check-in and checkout. Took us some effort to find some extra paper goods and cleaning supplies. We also enjoy recommendations for dining, hikes, activities, etc. from hosts/caretakers when we travel. This was not the case for this trip but I will also say we didn’t ask and were fine researching and exploring on our own.

We had four families with 8 kids (ages 2-9) and the place was perfect. Lots to do and fun for everyone. There is a bunk bed room with 8 beds and a bathroom with two showers and two toilets that made all the kids feel like they were at summer camp. Would definitely recommend.

Huge and accommodating property for our 5-family reunion. You can literally get lost within this spacious home. A very large kitchen, dinning room and living room make this an ideal home for multi-family gatherings. Several quiet common rooms are available for those wanting to play chess or backgammon, read books (well stocked libraries!) or watch a movie. Plenty of consideration for children' needs with games, puzzles, blocks, etc. The grounds are immaculate and well groomed. The Hewitt family, living just down the hill, provides immediate on-site assistance. The entire Pomfret area is absolutely beautiful with Woodstock and Sharon sites just minutes away. Grocery shopping is a bit distant. Suggest you visit first to see what is needed before heading out to shop. Prior guests are generous in leaving cooking and laundry supplies. One caution: Little ones need to be instructed to NOT touch the electrified cattle fence that separates the property from the working ranch.

I'm giving this property 5 stars because it is gorgeous, and our two-week family gathering was delightful. The owner, Beth, and especially the caretaker, Carleen, (and her family), went above and beyond to insure we would have a wonderful stay—and we did. Any small problems that arose were seen to quickly and appropriately and in the spirit of being helpful. Our teens loved going to Carleen's house, just down the road, to visit the bunnies, guinea pigs, chickens, ducklings, and Yoshi the Pomeranian puppy. We were charmed by the cattle that visited each day (safely behind their electric fence), and we made great use of the pool, tennis court, and the expansive lawn for badminton and other lawn games.
The kitchen is well equipped, and we appreciated being allowed to use some of the spices and pantry items. And having a kitchen herb garden was an added bonus.
The only downside, and it was a big one, was the man who is listed as the "host," Lucas, who is actually only the rental agent and who was insulting, unresponsive, and even threatening, claiming there were security cameras everywhere (there are not) that would be monitoring our every move and that we would be asked to leave if he felt we were doing something wrong. When I queried him, pre-stay, about certain parts of the property and facilities, he would quickly respond that he would get the information and get back to me—and then never did. I almost cancelled the reservation for having to deal with him. And it is clear from now having been there, that Lucas knows little-to-nothing about the property. So while the property and facility get five stars, Lucas gets zero.

This is a really remarkable and secluded property, ideal for a big family gathering. Tons of space, enough bedrooms spread out over enough floors that different people on different schedules didn't disrupt one another. We set aside a wing for the kids and two rooms entirely for parents to work during the day without affecting any of the main social spaces. The property is really beautiful and peaceful, and we enjoyed day trips to Woodstock and Hanover and Quechee. Highly recommended.

The property was beautiful - the photos do not do it justice. The house itself was HUGE and great for large groups. Even with the following exceptions, it was still a 5/5 for a stay!
That said - the place could have been a bit cleaner and some direction that there were A/Cs hidden away somewhere would have helped with our summer stay.

The house is beautiful and big enough to host our large family. The host is very responsive and easy to deal with, making sure always satisfy their guests. This is the 2nd time my family books this house and we look forward to returning again for our yearly family ski trip. Although Killington ski mountain is 40min away, the drive is beautiful and goes by fast as the scenery is charming. I highly recommend this house to anyone looking to make memories in one of the most scenic homes in VT.

We had an absolutely fantastic week here! We highly recommend it. The house is beautiful and it truly has it all. We made use of the pool, the amazing lawn, the basketball / tennis court, and everything the house itself had to offer. It’s a perfect mix of having everything you need and feeling like a farm escape — while being close to Woodstock and other nearby cities and towns for day trips and adventures. We loved it and we hope to be back again!

Fabulous house that lives up to the pictures in a beautiful setting that exceeds expectations. We loved sitting out on the terrace with our morning coffee, watching the cows make their way down the impossibly green hillside, and hearing nothing but quiet behind the chirping of birds. In addition to the clay tennis court and swimming pool pictured, the house was stocked with all kinds of lawn and board games (leave your cornhole boards at home, but bring your bags). There is plenty to enjoy onsite, but a nice stretch of the Appalachian Trail is nearby, too. Truly a special place - we will be back!

We had an amazing time at this estate. The home is beautiful and was very comfortable for our group of 25. The space is clean with lots of rooms and comfortable new beds and furniture. I was surprised to learn the home was recently built, from the photos I thought it was an older farmhouse. It has all the charm but is a modern home. The outdoor space is one of the most beautiful landscapes I have seen for a private area. We had a great time swimming in the pool and enjoying the outdoors. The kitchen is massive, we cooked all our meals and had no problem with cooking for 25 people and hosting at the massive dining room table.

Beautiful house, beautiful grounds and amazing views. This place was perfect for our group retreat that ended up being only 15 people but had the potential of being 21. It was great to have private rooms for leadership and none of the staff needed to share a bed.
Lucas and his team are great about responding to communications in a timely manner. Check-in was a breeze and I was provided the phone number for a local staff member who offered their availability should anything come up.
We will definitely be back!

The place and property are amazing. Tons of rooms and places to get away from the hustle of having up to 30 people around the home.
Bed spots are 30 as described, but tons of couches as well. Lots of dens and hang out areas not pictured. Basement has additional fridges and ping pong/shuffle board.
Close to the gorge and Killington a worthwhile trip nearby.
Kitchen is massive and very well equipped. Our group of 20+ had a great fall weekend hanging out and catching up.

This home is beautiful, very large, clean and can easily accommodate 17+ people. The majority of rooms had bathrooms with showers outside of the room. Super convenient when a large crowd needs to get ready in the morning. Also, there was enough towels, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, etc. I would recommend you bring your own shampoo and conditioner.
The kitchen has two dishwashers and two ovens which helped with cleaning and cooking for a large group. There is also a second fridge in the basement which came in handy. Plenty of silverware.
During our stay we visited Killington and Okemo mountains, had a great time skiing.
The caretaker was very nice and helped set up the fire place as there were specific instructions for it.
The communication with the property agent was efficient which I appreciated since I needed lots of details to plan ahead.

Lovely farm house, excellent pool, and great tennis court (we had instructor from Woodstock Inn come and teach lessons during the week). Having cows roaming the edges of the property were a nice touch.
Loved having a grill and smoker - used them almost daily. Same with fire pit.
Check for A/C requirements - when we stayed there were only four window units which isn’t enough for a full house. On the mild days (<80) open windows were great with a breeze. Hotter days were tougher.
