Perfect spot for our family weekend
Perfect spot for our family weekend. Five adults with room to spread out. Large kitchen, big bathrooms, living room was huge, easy access to many attractions in the area. Very quiet and peaceful.
Relaxing week in rural Massachusetts
Relaxing week in rural Massachusetts. Great communication with host and really nice home.Would encourage a deeper clean for your guests, though. We had dog hair sticking to our socks (we don’t own a dog) and the ceiling fan in the owners suite is coated with dust. The lawn games advertised were in a porch area that had mice poop all over.

It’s often tricky to visit the Berkshires in winter, especially with a front-wheel-drive vehicle. This property is on an easier incline than others in the area, which makes it far more accessible — even in 8” to 12” inches of snow. Save for some inclement weather, we had everything we needed to feel right at home for the holidays! The property owner is kind, flexible, and responsive, which gave us that much more sense of ease.

We had a wonderful family reunion, and the house was perfect for it
We had a wonderful family reunion, and the house was perfect for it! We made lots of big meals in the incredible kitchen, enjoyed eating together in the dining area, hung out on the deck, loved lounging in the living room, delighted in walking our dog in the neighborhood and watching the stars from the very quiet and beautiful yard.
Lucas was extremely quick to respond to my questions.
I highly recommend this place for a family gathering or big group of friends.

This is a beautiful, large house, charmingly decorated. The kitchen is huge and well appointed, and the rooms are large However, the house has some major flaws. In both bedrooms, there were no light switches near the doors, so if you walked into them in the dark, you needed to grope around before you found some light. When we arrived on Saturday, the toilet seat in the downstairs bathroom was broken -- it was not fixed until Monday. Many of the electrical outlets did not work. We never figured out how to turn on some of the lights. Many of the light switches appeared to do nothing. Lots of maintenance is needed, as well as a guide to operating the lighting and the ceiling fans.

Great place for my family and I. Booked this place for us while coaching at camp Greylock and it was perfect. Near everything in Becket and central to other nearby attractions and stores. The house was very spacious and the kitchen/dining area was spectacular. The host was quick to respond and was very accommodating. I will definitely look to book again next summer!

This lovely home was updated, clean and comfortable, and nicely outfitted with kitchen and bath supplies. The location was terrific for access to hikes and Jacob’s Pillow. The hosts couldnt have been more thoughtful and responsive. Highly recommended!

the best stocked Airbnb kitchen I've ever been too if you like to cook. the house is huge but it's only really 2 bedrooms so it's kind of a funny set up as it feels like it can handle bigger group. the cots are really just for emergencies...they are really thin.
nice outdoor seating but I wish it would also have dinning room table outside.. the whole house was pieceful and quiet. definitely private with occasional car driving by

Few hiccups, but mostly good
Pristine can mean several different things. My interpretation was to be “like new”. This dwelling did not quite live up to that standard, but was clean, sans the “mud room” and what appeared to be mold on the peak of the ceiling above the living room.
The original listing stated firewood was provided by the host. Then, the checkin instructions stated guests provided their own. Not huge, just misstated in the listing (since changed).
There was a power outage while we were there, thus no water.
The kitchen was reasonably equipped. The ice maker was defunct, so bring in your own.
Otherwise, it was a pretty decent stay. It’s a large post and beam house showing some wear, but overall comfortable. The ability to keep the car in the garage was nice for unpacking and repacking.
It was nice to have a gas stove in the kitchen, especially when the power was out (boiled water for coffee). The woodstove fireplace was awesome.
No coffee filters, so bring your own. Nice supply of linens. Comfortable bedding.
It was a drive to any activities or to grocery shop, but a beautiful one. The house itself had no ‘view’, but was surrounded by trees and was quiet and peaceful.

This property was exactly as described. Complete Private home with plenty of room to spread out. Lovely yard area and wonderfully appointed kitchen. Loved the garage access for loading and unloading our luggage. It was one of the best experiences we have EVER. And CLEAN!!
Quiet Escape
The house was well equipped, very clean, and was very comfortable. The location was quiet, private, and offered hiking right from the doorstep. Easy access to all the Berkshires has to offer.
A place to connect with family
We needed a place to stay that would allow my husband and I to visit with our children and grandchildren. This was the perfect location for us. We loved the beautiful, secluded yard and sitting with our family outside using the Adirondack chairs. The kitchen was well appointed allowing us to cook several family meals. We spent evenings playing games on the dining room table or using the corn hole games that were at the house.
Given we live in Texas and our children live in Massachusetts and New York City this was a great find. Although most of the week was rainy during our stay we did find our way to Stockbridge and had dinner at Papa Bobs. We also enjoyed watching movies on the tv with our Disney account we were able to plug in.
Everything met our expectations!

Mountain Top Getaway
My wife and young daughters live in central CT, and the drive to Becket was both scenic and relatively short at around an hour and a half. The property offers great privacy in a remote wooded setting in the heart of the always beautiful Berkshires. We brought our dog along, and we all were able to relax by the fire, read our favorite books, as well as peruse interesting titles on the impressive bookshelf built into the living room wall—a book lover’s delight. We admired the openness and light provided by vaulted ceilings and the beauty of the exposed beams. Great cabin-like feel with the amenities of a fully complimented home. While the ad is listed accurately, one thing to note for guests is the lack of access to a washer/dryer. Be sure to bring enough clothes and towels to the last the week. The kitchen is wonderful and will suit any foodie’s needs. Overall terrific stay, and we’ll be back!
Exactly What We Were Looking For
We had a truly excellent stay here. The house was very clean and you can tell the owners take pride in the upkeep and maintenance of the property. The exposed timber framing was one of my favorite things about house. Overall, we found the place to be exactly as advertised and we had a wonderful little getaway with our friends.

This house is super clean and we loved that! Floors, bathrooms, kitchen were all pristine.
We wished there was more usable outdoor space (there's no walkway to the front door which isn't great during rain) and there's no outdoor table for eating on the deck etc. Its also not the best if you have little ones, there's no way to cover light in the two upstairs sleeping spaces (the huge skylights are wonderful but its something to keep in mind if you have an early riser).

Interesting layout. Really liked the post and beam construction details and openness of the living room to the upper loft. Both restrooms uniquely have two entries, one from the closest bedroom and one from the main space/ corridor. Kitchen suited our needs well, and has a vast amount of counter space. We enjoyed our time here and found comfort throughout. Or two young children enjoyed their loft sleeping arrangement.

Very comfortable and peaceful it is totally secluded and private. There is a lot of space and the ceilings are very high. The house is exactly as described and a wonderful place to spend a week. And Lucas provided perfect 72 degree August weather for us! The kitchen is extremely well equipped. A point to note to help others is that (unlike most rentals) a full supply of shampoo & conditioner, body wash and liquid hand soap was available as well as dishwasher detergent, garbage bags etc. I had packed some of each since rental homes often just have a “starter supply” of those items. Wish I had
hadn’t! Also don’t miss the fact that there isn’t a washer & dryer - we packed accordingly and it wasn’t a problem. Only negative is the condition of the road, which is very rutted and you need to be careful. I know they’ve had an extremely rainy summer and I hope some repair work gets done before winter.

A few things we would have liked are: an anti-slip mat in the upstairs shower, another comfy chair in the living room, steak knives, and the downstairs nightlight bulb needs replacing. We were very comfortable and pleased with the fireplace supplies and how the kitchen was outfitted. We highly recommend this rental. If staying longer than a couple days, be mindful there is no washer/dryer. We loved having garage access. This made unloading and taking the dog out so much easier. We slso used the outdoor grill. We enjoyed our stay- it was a getaway with our 3 adult kids. Very well-equipped kitchen- even had a rice cooker! We enjoyed dinner out on the deck in the evenings, one evening we had tickets to Tanglewood which is only 30 min away. Went hiking and exploring in nearby parks. It could use a few more chairs on the deck, and in the living room (there were 5 of us)- but everything was as advertised. Very quiet and private place.
