This house is beautifully designed, and there are so many beautiful visual details
This house is beautifully designed, and there are so many beautiful visual details. From art, to furniture and fixtures, and all the books …. it’s a gorgeous place to spend time. The huge window walls in the living room give you a sense of being in nature, while enjoying the cozy comforts of indoors.
However, there were a number of inconveniences that made our stay less than ideal:
1. The dirt driveway was not clearly marked and snow was not well-cleared, so our car kept getting stuck in the snow bank.
2. When the heat pump system turns on, it shakes the walls and rattles the baseboard units. The light sleepers in our group woke up every time the heating fired on throughout the night.
3. When we called the host’s number we got an phone menu and left a message. The host is a property management company that highly relies on automation for communication, which is annoying when you’re trying to get in touch with a real person.
So, lovely place, but with some caveats.

The house is as beautiful as seen in the pictures and then some. The views are gorgeous. We fit fine with two families (two adults and one kid each). The heating system is great. Each room has its own split unit, and the living room and kitchen double up with a lovely (and effective) gas fireplace. The whole place is a design statement. The purpose of our trip was to ski at Catamount and Butternut, and they both were easy to get to (30 and 10 min, respectively). The location is private, but not isolated. The house supplies were ample, especially in the kitchen. It may be the first Airbnb I’ve ever been to that has both olive and avocado oils. Lastly, Lucas is a great host, very responsive and attentive. I would not hesitate to book it again when we go back to the area.
