Great place close to town and Butternut – friendly and communicative host
Shannon’s house was beautiful with a nice open layout
Shannon’s house was beautiful with a nice open layout, comfortable bedrooms with soft linens and a great kitchen for cooking. The management company was not helpful. We reached out because the temperature on the main level would not heat above 68 degrees so it was pretty chilly inside. They said a maintenance person would help us but we never heard back and nobody ever came. We also reached out for snow removal as the house has a long driveway and we had gotten about 8 inches of snow overnight. They said they would send someone but nobody ever came and we were there for three more days. My husband ended up having to shovel some of the driveway to be able to get to the grocery store. We paid over $1,000 a night to stay at this home so I would have expected things like heat and snow removal to be taken care of. The house itself was lovely and GB is awesome so we had a nice time but not a great experience with the management company.

Wonderful location and beautiful home. Would definitely stay again. Highly recommended. Very convenient supply of kitchen basics (spices, etc.). Appreciate the focus on minimizing plastic waste. Thank you!

The Berkshires are a wonderful section of Massachusetts and Shannon’s home allows you to enjoy to the fullest. Lovely spots throughout the home to enjoy nature (and especially the sunsets from the porch). Nicely laid out, a well equipped kitchen, clean and comfortable. Great Barrington is also a terrific town with lots of interesting retail. Recommend a visit to the Edith Wharton home (The Mount) in Lenox.

We loved this home
We loved this home! It was spotless and relaxing, we especially loved the wrap around porch, rocking chairs and fenced in yard. The kitchen had everything we needed to enjoy several meals at home and it was a convenient 5 minute drive to downtown, groceries stores and beautiful hiking trails.

What a beautiful home, and incredible sunsets! Amazing location, rooms were super comfortable and all the amenities at the house were perfect (fenced yard for the dogs and kids, big porch for enjoying the views, kitchen stocked well, and great open space for gathering). We loved it and highly recommend!!
The house is in a great location in the midst of things
The house is in a great location in the midst of things, the fenced yard is beautiful and so functional for young children and dogs, and the home itself is spacious, clean and sunny. Four stars because the washing machine didn't work right away and it took several hours to learn that we had to go to the basement and flip a breaker (no big deal), the fire alarm went off completely randomly 3 times and I was worried it would go off again overnight (it didn't, thank goodness, but I never got a reply to my text about that) and finally, no light blocking shades in the bedrooms which is just such a fail. I highly recommend some light blocking drapes to add to the current privacy shades. Also, be aware that the 4th bedroom is a cute little first floor room off the kitchen/dining space, maybe 6'x9' in size, with a daybed and its own door out to the driveway. This could be excellent for your group or could be useless for your group so just thought I would mention it.

Nice stay! Ground floor has a mud room with a 3/4 bathroom, spacious kitchen and living space. Upstairs there are three bedrooms, one with an en suite, and another in the hallway for the two other bedrooms to share. Location is great!

We had a wonderful 5 night stay at this large home in Great Barrington. The house is close to downtown Great Barrington and all Berkshire activities. The home is beautifully updated and decorated. We especially loved the kitchen which has all top of the line appliances. We also enjoyed the beautiful wrap around porch as well as the fire pit. Any time we had a question, we received an answer promptly from Shannon. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful weekend stay! The home was spotless and so comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The kitchen was impressively well equipped. One of our favorite spots was the fabulous porch—it was the ideal place to enjoy morning coffee and evening conversations. The attention to detail and thoughtful touches throughout the house made us feel right at home. Highly recommend, and we’d love to return!

Just got back from an incredible 4 days at Shannon’s place ! It was exactly as pictured and described . Inside was spotless . We cooked in almost every night and it was well equipped and had everything we needed . Beds were extremely comfortable and bathrooms with all the personal essentials were a dream . Best part were nights with on the rockers on the wrap around porch ! 5 of us stayed there very comfortably and great location to all the quaint villages of the berkshires . 10/10 !

This is a beautiful home. Location is perfect for skiing Butternut. So close to restaurants and shopping. We had a great experience! The kitchen is well stocked. We arrived to a bottle of wine and fully stocked bathrooms including all the essentials. Such a nice personal touch!

While house was not cleaned from previous guest, housekeepers arrived and explained their mixup. They quickly went to work and finished in about an hour. Other than this snafu we were extremely pleased with the house and would recommend this house wholeheartedly!

If you're looking for a beautifully appointed place to chill out in the Berkshires, this is it! fenced yard for kids or doggos, QUIET neighborhood that is literally two minutes' drive to GB fun and restaurants, and a gorgeous pond/trail just minutes away for serenity and getting outdoors. The BEDS and linens are divine if sleeping in is your idea of a good time on vacation. Sitting on the porch looking out over the mountains reminded me of being home in the Catskills. Just wish we'd had time to stay longer.

Shannon's place provided a lovely long holiday weekend stay for our group of friends celebrating birthdays and anniversaries. The house is accurately represented by the photos. The first floor open plan is great for hanging out together! We all loved the wrap around porch, too. We cooked some great dinners together and the kitchen accommodates a bunch of chefs. I loved the proximity to downtown Great Barrington yet being tucked out of the way. We would definitely come back to this cozy home.

Four of us stayed at Shannon's place while attending an art workshop in Great Barrington. The rooms were comfortable and airy and the house was lovely: open design, everything works, and the entire place was super clean and neat. Our workshop was just outside of town, right near Shannon's house. If you are staying at the house, you should know that is just a short drive outside of the main drag, but you will need to drive there. Shannon was always quick to reply to any messages. I would absolutely recommend Sharon's place to anyone. I hope to be able to come back and stay there again sometime soon. Thanks so much, Shannon!

Big, quiet, and beautiful home close enough to restaurants and necessities in the area but also very private in property and location. It was no more than a 6 minute drive to butternut mountain for easy access to ski the mountain all day for our group. The mud room made access to the house so convenient with snowboards and winter boots. The house was very clean and the beds and linens were comfortable. We had access to streaming services to watch moves at night with the kids and it was close to grocery shopping and restaurants a few mins off the main road. The Main Street area was no more than a few mins drive down the road as well. Overall, the location was perfect. I did not bring my dog but wish I had seeing as to how the yard was perfectly fenced off. Would definitely return for a stay to go hiking if possible in the fall or the spring. Had a great time and would highly recommend staying at this beautiful home.

Our stay here was lovely! We stayed for a ski vacation with small kids and grandparents. The house is beautifully renovated and well-appointed. It's also very convenient to the mountain, groceries and other restaurants and activities (e.g. bowling alley). Hosts were great and small touches (e.g. free snacks and seltzer, heated bathroom floors) made it a truly wonderful stay.

We stayed at Shannon's home with two families, 4 adults and 4 kids. There was plenty of space for everyone and a great open living room, kitchen and dining room for everyone to hang out. She had a big mud room, which was perfect for a ski trip, so we could easily keep our ski gear away from the rest of the house. Everything was top notch, I strongly recommend this house.
